Promoting renewable energies, protecting the climate

By handling resources responsibly and using renewable energies, we aim to minimize the environmental impact of our business activities and protect the climate. In this way, we are helping establish the conditions for a livable future for all people. Our certified management systems for the environment in accordance with ISO 14001 and for energy in accordance with ISO 50001 help us to continuously improve our processes and increase our environmental performance.

Our climate protection strategy

A globally sustainable, decentralized energy supply based on renewable energies is at the center of our business activities. Our systems and solutions contribute to the reduction of dependence on fossil fuels and make a positive contribution to climate protection.

At the same time, energy demand in our own business area and in the supply chain has a negative impact on the climate. In order to keep this as low as possible, we pursue the following targets with our climate protection strategy:

Decarbonizing the energy supply: We rely on renewable energies and innovative technologies to reduce our CO₂e emissions and ensure a climate-friendly energy supply along the value chain.
Responsible use of resources: We promote the use of environmentally friendly materials and rely on efficient processes to minimize our resource consumption and environmental impact.
Sustainable mobility: We are working to decarbonize our fleet and promote low and zero-emission transport solutions in order to reduce our environmental footprint.

To achieve these strategic goals, we have set company-wide, science-based climate targets. These include both our own business area and our supply chain and have been validated by the renowned Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
