SMA Solar Technology AG (SMA), a global leader in photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, and Beijing HyperStrong Technology Co., Ltd. (HyperStrong), a leading provider of energy storage solutions and services, have signed an agreement to deepen their strategic cooperation. Leveraging their respective core strengths, the two parties will collaborate closely to create supply chain and technological synergies, laying a solid foundation for their future long-term partnership.
Under the agreement, the two parties will further advance cooperation on utility-scale energy storage projects in global markets. By combining SMA’s Sunny Central Storage inverter technology, Medium Voltage Power Stations (MVPS), and global service expertise with HyperStrong’s system integration experience and capabilities, the two companies will jointly deliver grid-compliant energy storage solutions that are standardized yet flexible, tailored to the diverse needs of global markets.
“As our collaboration continues to deepen, this agreement marks an important milestone for both SMA and HyperStrong”, said Jürgen Reinert, CEO at SMA. “I am looking forward to a long-term partnership that will further enhance the stability of the global supply chain for energy storage projects and drive continued innovation in energy storage technologies.”
“The signing of this agreement marks a new stage in the cooperation between our two companies and reflects our shared confidence in the long-term development of the global energy storage market,” said Peng Shu, Co-founder and President of Operation of HyperStrong. “By combining the strengths of both companies, we aim to provide customers with more reliable and flexible energy storage solutions, while further strengthening our collaborative delivery capabilities for global energy storage projects”
SMA and HyperStrong aim to further solidify their market competitiveness, deepen upstream and downstream coordination of the industrial chain, and strengthen global energy storage project delivery and service capabilities. Addressing the evolving needs of the energy storage market, the two companies aim to promote the development of more standardized, scalable, and globally adaptable energy storage solutions, supporting the ongoing global energy transition.
