The EEBUS Initiative develops internationally harmonized communication standards for intelligent networking of home appliances and energy efficiency applications. Compared with the SMA Data Manager M (EDMM-10), the SMA Data Manager M Lite (EDMM-10.A) has a reduced functionality and is therefore a less expensive product. What is the SMA Charge S eProduct and where can I buy it?
The SMA Charge S eProduct is a software license for the intelligent charging of an electric vehicle via the EEBUS communication standard. The license can be purchased via the SMA eShop and is valid indefinitely.
Which charging stations are compatible with the SMA Data Manager M Lite and the SMA Charge S?
All EEBUS-compatible charging stations are supported (EEBUS use case e-mobility).
I have a PV system with an inverter from a manufacturer other than SMA. Can I still use an SMA Data Manager M Lite and the SMA Charge S eProduct with the e-tron Connect charging system?
Yes, this can be done. Depending on the manufacturer and model of the inverter, additional devices such as another SMA Energy Meter 20 may be required.
