There are 6 different package versions, which are technically coordinated with each other.

• Battery inverter with 30 kW and 107 kWh outdoor battery storage system

• Battery inverter with 50 kW and 107 kWh outdoor battery storage system

• Battery inverter with 50 kW and 197 kWh indoor battery storage system

• Battery inverter with 50 kW and 197 kWh outdoor battery storage system

All storage packages can be expanded during installation or subsequently with additional suitable storage cabinets from the SMA Storage XL family.

The SMA Storage XL Package offers comprehensive services over the entire product life cycle. In addition to the hardware (battery inverter, battery), this also includes energy management, training courses, consulting and design service, commissioning service, a 10-year warranty and on-site service for the entire system including any other SMA components such as SMA PV inverters or SMA EV Charger.

Information: An Energy Meter is always required for the operation of the SMA Storage XL Package. The Energy Meter is not included in the scope of delivery of the storage packages and must be ordered separately. Three different Energy Meters are available.

The entire storage solution offers a 10-year warranty on the entire system after successful product registration. The battery is covered by a separate performance warranty.

The SMA Storage XL Package may only be commissioned by trained installers. Fast and simple online training via the SMA Solar Academy is required for this purpose. Information about the current training offers can be found here: https://solaracademy.sma.de/training offers

No, this is not possible. The all-in-one service package of the SMA Storage XL Package is based on a consistent strategy: We supply only components that are coordinated, qualified and certified. SMA assumes system responsibility, system warranty and provides service for the entire system.

The Sunny Tripower Storage X is therefore not sold individually and must not be operated with other batteries.

Only SMA offers the entire solution from a single source. This means that you, as a customer, have only one contact person if, contrary to expectations, something does not work in your system. And who knows SMA devices better than SMA? In addition, the 10-year system warranty for the entire system is only available from SMA.

All current SMA components can be integrated via the integrated System Manager. For SMA eChargers, monitoring is currently only possible via Modbus in the ennexOS operating system. Full integration is currently being prepared.

Yes, this is easily possible. Complete packages (with battery inverter and battery) or just individual cabinets can be expanded.

Yes, this is easily possible. An additional IO card (SMA I/O Module, MD-IO-41) must be retrofitted in the STPS-X for this purpose.

Up to 10 devices. These devices can be SMA battery inverters, SMA PV inverters or other approved Modbus elements such as eMeters, IOs or weather stations.

A design can be carried out independently via Sunny Design. For more complex systems, SMA provides support for design and can create meaningful concepts, including profitability analyses, based on individual consumption data and conditions.

Yes, SMA offers an on-site or remote commissioning service. The form will be sent with the order confirmation.

Yes, that is possible. Additional parallel storage cabinets (up to 4 in total) can be retrofitted anytime. The additional cabinets of the SMA Storage XL family must have the same capacity as the other cabinets. Retrofitting of individual battery modules is not possible.

Yes, there are battery systems for indoor and outdoor installation based on the application. SMA does not recommend installing an outdoor battery storage system indoors.

The STPS X battery inverter is already equipped with a battery-backup function on the hardware side. The software function is currently still under development. The system can therefore later be used for backup power applications via a simple firmware update and an additional back-up box (for grid disconnection).

No, the Sunny Tripower Storage is an AC-coupled battery inverter. It is therefore particularly well suited for commercial installations where flexibility plays a major role.

No. The SMA battery is manufactured according to our specification and thus offers all benefits of classic SMA products.

The battery inverter is a true all-round solution and includes a battery boost converter that provides incredible flexibility, even using small battery capacities. In addition, the System Manager as a replacement for an SMA Data Manager M is already included into the device directly from the factory. The 4-wire topology on the AC side also eliminates the need for an additional isolation transformer for backup power applications later on.
