LET’S TALK ENERGY 2021: SMA experts present new energy solutions

SMA’s highly successful digital LET’S TALK ENERGY format is gearing up for a new season. Over the summer and fall, experts will be showcasing a range of innovative energy solutions for homes, businesses and PV power plants and interacting with the audience live from the new SMA studio in Niestetal. The series of events will kick off the week from June 22 to 29. The format will focus on energy management, self-consumption solutions and storage system integration in PV power plants. In September, SMA will host the world premiere of the new Sunny Tripower Smart Energy hybrid inverter, while the focus in October will be on SMA system solutions for the future power-to-gas technology. The full program of events in the series and the link to register for free can be found on the website.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our customers, professional partners and guests to over 40 digital events and showcasing our new energy solutions and products for all application areas,” said Boris Wolff, Executive Vice President Sales, Service and Marketing at SMA. ”We’re celebrating our anniversary this year and are proud of our 40 years of innovation, of our passion for renewable energies and also, in particular, of our trusting, inspiring, close and long-standing collaboration with our customers and partners. Together we will continue to shape the energy transition and advance the success of renewable energies on a global scale.”

June: Energy management and storage systems for greater self-consumption
SMA will be showcasing a range of systems and solutions for “UE20 systems,” which, from the start of 2021, will no longer be covered by statutory funding under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) in Germany. System operators can use these systems and solutions for self-consumption of the self-generated solar power. The focus here will be on the smart connectivity of PV systems, battery-storage systems, e-mobility charging infrastructure and electricity-based heat generation to produce a complete energy solution.

September: The Sunny Tripower Smart Energy delivers maximum convenience for PV system operators
On the agenda for late summer is the world premiere of the new SMA hybrid inverter. The three-phase Sunny Tripower Smart Energy is the latest addition to the SMA Energy System Home. Equipped with two MPP trackers, it is perfect for new, DC-coupled systems in homes, compatible with high-voltage batteries from leading manufacturers and comes with an integrated backup power supply. Integrated services and software solutions deliver maximum user convenience and optimum reliability. They include the SMA Smart Connected automatic inverter monitoring service for rapid servicing in the event of a failure.

October: Power-to-gas applications for the energy transition
The focus in the fall will be on SMA solutions for emission-free hydrogen generation. SMA will be showcasing a range of high-performance electricity supply solutions for electrolyzers. The electricity supply solutions can be used as turnkey systems for converting electricity from the medium-voltage grid to the DC power required for electrolysis. The applications are many and varied and currently focus primarily on the supply of hydrogen refueling stations and the storage of surplus wind energy to be used during calm periods. SMA is working in partnership with leading electrolyzer manufacturers.
