Location: Bengaluru, India

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Customer Project Fulfillment and success or Industry Solutions department. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating business processes, identifying areas of improvement, and providing strategic insights.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, including data gathering, process mapping, and identification of pain points and bottlenecks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports to track progress, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the department's objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, such as business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas where current processes fall short of desired outcomes and propose solutions.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the development and execution of training programs to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex business situations and provide innovative solutions.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, SQL, or other relevant software.
  • Experience with process mapping and modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sales & demand management within project business-oriented companies is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Professional certifications in business analysis are a plus.
  • B1 and B2 are roughly intermediate-level German Languages is a plus.

Technical Support - GTC (Global Technical Centre)

Location: Bengaluru, India

We are seeking a customer-focused and self-motivated individual to assume a pivotal role in delivering expert technical support for SMA. In the initial phase, the successful candidate will take charge of overseeing the technical aspects of the Compliance Matrix (CM). This involves close collaboration with globally distributed Application Engineers (AE) and the Global Technical Consulting (GTC) team at our headquarters. The individual will play a crucial part in maintaining technical excellence and driving innovation within our organization.

Primary Responsibilities

First Stage

  • Assume responsibility for the technical components of tenders and customer requests, culminating in the creation of a Compliance Matrix (CM).
  • Demonstrate expertise in segmenting the Compliance Matrix (CM) into meaningful sections, including 'General Requirements,' 'Local Requirements and Design Issues,' and 'Special Requirements.'
  • Act as an independent expert consultant for the 'General Requirements' section.
  • Establish a realistic timeline for resolving technical aspects and coordinate it with the sales team.
  • Delegate the 'Local Requirements' section to the local Application Engineer.
  • Entrust the 'Special Requirements' section to the Global Technical Consulting (GTC) team.
  • Define and communicate realistic timeframes, creating a coordinated schedule with the sales team.
  • Monitor the progress of all technical components.
  • Consolidate the sections and deliver them to the Application Engineer (AE) within the specified timeframe.
  • Ensure a Four-Eyes-Check by the AE is conducted.

Second Stage

  • Serve as an expert consultant for general inquiries within the Application Engineering domain.
  • Address level 1 cases in the ticketing system, functioning as a pre-filter for the Global Technical Consulting (GTC) team.
  • Conduct training sessions for new Application Engineers (AE) globally, focusing on the SMA Large Scale Solution.
  • Generate customer project documents during the sales phase.
  • Maintain PVsol and PVsyst data through direct communication with the respective companies.
  • Develop parameter REC files.
  • Optimize the database using Artificial Intelligence principles.

Qualifications Needed

  • Possession of a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Power Distribution Engineering from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma) coupled with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional proficiency in English, avoiding strong Indian slang.

Desired Characteristics

  • At least 2 years of experience in the PV business, Power Distribution, or third-level PV power plant service.
  • A customer-oriented mindset with flexibility to meet customer demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and resolve customer issues, driven by a strong motivation to utilize technical knowledge for the benefit of others.
  • Given the customer-facing nature of this role, adept at constant prioritization of assignments to address diverse customer requests.
  • Methodical and focused approach to work.
  • Proficiency in project management to efficiently handle multiple parallel requests.
  • Strong international intercultural skills.

Grid Modelling Engineer

Grid Modelling Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, India

Purpose of the position

The Project Engineering Services team operates globally with a focus on large-scale photovoltaic systems and large capacity storage applications, thus creating the conditions for our customers to connect SMA system solutions to the market in Southeast Asia.

Primary duties / responsibilities

  • Supporting the customers in creating grid access solutions for their large-scale PV plants
  •  Accompanying possible projects for customer-specific product changes in R&D
  •  Documentation of the project-specific system solutions
  •  Conducting Independent customer training in house or at the plant
  • Perform Grid studies (steady state flow, dynamic analysis, Model acceptance test, benchmarking PSSE /PSCAD) as an engineering product.

Required training (type/duration / field / additional training)

  • Study of computer science or electrical engineering with a focus on control engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink / State flow, PSSE, Power factory
  • Experiences in the field of modelling/control
  • Very good knowledge of English

Required relevant professional experience (type/duration)

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in network access, simulation, or similar.

Other specialized skills

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineer or similar
  • Appearance skills desirable
  • Good communication and presentation techniques
