Service Line & Field Service Engineer m/f


Job description

We are currently looking for a Technical Call Agent for both attending our Service Line and for performing on-site activities on field. Taking this role, the candidate will look after of both main roles in our Service Department. First, performing as Contact Center agent, providing telephoning and remote support for all SMA equipment installed in Spain. Secondly, as a Field Service Engineer, carrying out commissionings and corrective tasks for those centralized equipment located in our country. You can bring your commitment, willingness and experience in a very international and dynamic working environment. The work center is located in the office of SMA-Iberica in Sant Cugat del Valles, Barcelona but the Candidate could also work from his own workstation at home.


Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Service line for SMA devices that belong to the local installed base, with any technical issue. In addition, technical support using remote tools. 
  • Second Level detailed incident analysis. 
  • Field service activities for SMA products.
  • Have a local SMA Senior Expert role for a particular group of products.
  • Control and manage back office processes and tasks.
  • Support Service Provider.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High communication skills targeted to customer orientation.
  • High capability for social relationship.
  • Team player attitude even working remotely. 
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Outstanding follow-through, time management and planning skills to deliver results.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Technical Degree required on Electrical or Electronics.
  • High knowledge in Industrial Communications.
  • Be fluent in verbal and written English.


To be concidered a plus:

  • Work experience performing in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Solar Technology.
  • Telecommunications Degree.
  • Salesforce & SAP knowledge.
