Sales Director
Leadership position in the Sales organization of SMA Ibérica Technología Solar, S.L.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leads, motivates and develops the sales department
  • Develops and formulates a comprehensive sales strategy and implements the required tactical actions to ensure the growth of sales in Spain and Portugal
  • Sets ambitious targets and devises concrete plans to achieve them on national and international levels
  • Maintains and develops existing business relationships with key customers as well as acquires new customers
  • Monitors and analyzes sales and market trends
  • Works closely with the Regional Manager Southern Europe of SMA to ensure that Sales activities complement the SMA sales strategy and target growth markets
  • Sets, monitors and reports back on key KPI’s within the sales organization to illustrate the impact of the set sales strategy on volume, market share and profitability

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration combined with a keen affinity for technical products
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in (in-)direct selling and distributing sophisticated, technically oriented products, ideally in an internationally oriented company
  • Leadership experience with strong interpersonal and communications skills and a demonstrated ability to motivate, build trust, gain support and instill accountability
  • Experience of the Spanish and/or Portuguese PV market would be an advantage
  • Ideally a sound knowledge of the Spanish and/or Portuguese electricity market
  • Very good Spanish and English language skills; Portuguese language skills would be an asset
  • Highly customer and success-oriented, flexible and able to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel extensively both domestically and internationally to events and customer sites
