Everything’s in position for efficiently using solar energy. Sunny Home Manager offers a seamless plant monitoring, smart energy management and an integrated energy management solution, the SMA Smart Home. PV plant operators will always have an overview of all energy flows in the home. Using the individualized recommended actions, they can make decisions about when to use their solar power best. Using the SMA radio-controlled sockets, controllable loads such as washing machines can be activated automatically, if necessary. Thus, the Sunny Home Manager increases the self-consumption which is an important factor in Germany. *
The latest Sunny Home Manager software version 1.04, which is now available, supports speedwire communication to PV inverter and Sunny Island 6.0H. Furthermore, battery systems are represented in Sunny Portal with a device-specific page where you can profit from detailed information about the increase of self-consumption.
*At the moment, the full functional range cannot be used in all countries.

With the Sunny Home Manager, you can conveniently and seamlessly monitor every PV plant in a residential system. Once the plant has easily been commissioned using the plant setup assistant, Sunny Portal provides a reliable, user-friendly visualization of the system’s basic features..

This analysis page displays the energy balance for the desired time period and facilitates a variety of generation, consumption, and self-consumption analyses.

Essentially, you are handling energy management by the minute and the Sunny Home Manager’s recommended actions are the main component in making this happen. They are derived from the home’s load profile and calculated based on the local PV generation forecast.
The status screen shows current power data as an animated, real-time graph and as numerical values.
The view displays the weather forecast and the corresponding PV generation forecast for the coming hours. In addition to an automatically generated timetable for controlled appliances, the Sunny Home Manager also provides visual prompts to encourage and increase self-consumption.
SMA radio-controlled sockets can be combined with the Sunny Home Manager to offer additional functionality allowing individual loads in the home to be automatically activated. Based on the recommended actions the Sunny Home Manager remotely turn household appliances such as washing machines or dishwashers on and off using the SMA radio-controlled sockets. Through the process, you can increase your self-consumption and monitor the load profiles of various appliances, helping you to single out any electricity guzzlers.
The energy balance indicates the overall time, duration, and load level of the various remotely controlled appliances.

The Sunny Home Manager is the control center for the SMA Smart Home, our integrated energy management solution. The various system elements Sunny Home Manager, Sunny Portal, the SMA radio-controlled sockets, the Sunny Island storage system, and of course the SMA inverter are ideally matched.

New features:
Support of Speedwire communication - Additional to Bluetooth® communication it is now possible to communicate to PV inverters and to Sunny Island 6.0H via our wired field bus Speedwire. In this way it is possible to mix wired and wireless communcation in PV plants built up with the Sunny Home Manager.
Support of Sunny Island 6.0H - With the Speedwire data module for Sunny Island 6.0H it is possible to set up communication between the Sunny Home Manager and the Sunny Island 6.0H so that both products can be used together to further increase self-consumption.
Better support of battery systems in Sunny Portal - With the new release 1.04.x.R. Sunny Island and Sunny Backup devices are represented in Sunny Portal with a device-specific page. Additional there is a representation of battery load and battery unload in the charts "Current Status" and "Energy Balance" showing the increase of self-consumption with the battery system.
General optimizations and error corrections - Further optimization and stabilization measures have been made in Sunny Portal and the Firmware 1.04.x.R.
If you have activated the automatic software update function in the Sunny Home Manager, the update will be performed automatically. Otherwise you can reactivate the automatic update function short-term. The update will then be performed. Afterwards you can deactivate the automatic update function again.
Performance features:
Limitation of the active power feed-in - The grid operator may require a permanent limitation of the active power feed-in for your PV plant, i.e. limiting of the active power being fed into the electricity grid to a fixed value or to a percentage of the installed nominal plant power. The Sunny Home Manager monitors the active power being fed into the electricity grid via a feed-in meter. If the active power feed-in exceeds the prescribed limit, the Sunny Home Manager limits the inverter PV generation via Bluetooth®. The Sunny Home Manager prevents yield losses due to unnecessarily strong limitation of PV generation by taking the current self-consumption of the household into consideration.
Presentation of the prognoses - with immediate effect, presentation of the PV generation prognosis, the weather forecast and the consumption prognosis is available for countries in Europe and Australia.
New menu page "analysis" in Sunny Portal - here, without additional configuration, the most important data and events of the plant will be presented and evaluated for the user. In addition, he will be actively supported via a flexible and intuitive operable user interface.
General optimizations and error corrections - Further optimization and stabilization measures have been made in Sunny Portal and the Firmware 1.03.x.R.
If you have activated the automatic software update function in the Sunny Home Manager, the update will be performed automatically. Otherwise you can reactivate the automatic update function short-term. The update will then be performed. Afterwards you can deactivate the automatic update function again.
Performance features:
Automatic Update of Connected Devices - With immediate effect, devices connected to the Sunny Home Manager can be kept up to date with the latest firmware via Bluetooth. This can save time and costs, since updates can be performed without having to be on site at the PV plant. This function can be activated in Sunny Portal by visiting the "Device Properties" page of the Sunny Home Manager and activating the "Automatically Update Software" function for PV plant devices.
Sunny Home Manager Update - This function has been optimized so that downloading of the new firmware can be performed more reliably in the event of poor or slow internet connections.
General Optimizations and Error Corrections - Further optimization and stabilization measures have been made in Sunny Portal and the Firmware 1.02.7.R.
Performance features:
Device support update - The SMA Bluetooth Piggy-Back Off-Grid* is supported by the new firmware 1.01.0.R. As a result the Sunny Home Manager and the Sunny Backup Set S* can be used together for increased self-consumption.
General optimization and elimination of errors - the firmware 1.01.0.R optimizes and stabilizes existing functions.
*The Sunny Backup Set S and the SMA Bluetooth Piggy-Back Off-Grid are currently only available in Germany.

Remote control, the obvious solution: With the SMA radio-controlled socket loads which can be operated at various times will be activated at the ideal moment. In addition, the SMA radio-controlled socket allows you to precisely measure their energy consumption. This means that it also records, for example, how often, when and how long the respective device operates. Based on the recommended actions the Sunny Home Manager remotely turns on and off household appliances such as washing machines or dishwashers using the SMA radio-controlled sockets. Through the process, you can increase your self-consumption and monitor the load profiles of various appliances, helping you to single out any electricity guzzlers.
