Our Commitment to Society
SMA is aware of its social responsibility and makes a contribution to the community both with self-initiated schemes and by supporting various external projects. On the one hand, we are involved in cultural, social, educational and environmental projects, and on the other, we support and encourage the development of renewable energy sources in the developing parts of the world.
Community Commitment
As one of the largest companies in the region, we feel a strong responsibility as part of our society and therefore endeavor to make a positive contribution to regional development. We focus these activities in a multitude of ways on the social and cultural issues in our neighborhood.
Education and Research
From our own experience, we know that research and development are the engines for long-term, successful innovations. This is why we want to spark children's and young people's interest in science and technology from an early age, and also to support students in these fields. After all, their ideas shape the future of our society. And maybe one day the future of SMA, too.
Help for Self-Help
More than two billion people around the world still live without electrical power. As a successful company in the solar sector, we strive not only to expand the photovoltaics market, but also to contribute to local and regional development. Under the motto "Help for self-help", SMA is therefore involved in projects primarily in poorer regions of the world.
